Smoldering desire....

A desire smolders….
Winking through dead ashes,
the embers respire.

Stoking the fire,
the wanton breeze
flirts with amorous ease.
In a flicker of thrill,
the ember crackles
throws up prayers and wills
for answered miracles…

Seasons run on fickle legs,
trample my memories in you.
Yet my recalls burn and beg,
Singe me in thoughts of you…

Water the smoldering coals,
And kill now the wretched glow…
Lest they burning, get to grow,
consume my all, in a rising toll…!

Embers to ashes,
the flame cools not…
Life times of awashes
the Fire dulls not…..

The desire smolders….
Winking through dead ashes,
the embers respire.
